Becker's Hospital Review Names 50 Physician-Owned Hospitals to Know

CHICAGO—Becker's Hospital Review is proud to announce the publication of its list, "50 Physician-Owned Hospitals to Know," which recognizes high-performing leaders in patient care and clinical quality.

Physician-owned hospitals currently exist in trying times. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has halted their expansions, but that has not stopped them from becoming industry leaders in care management and patient satisfaction. The 50 hospitals included in this list are community leaders and continue to ramp up efforts to deliver quality healthcare.

To compile this list, the Becker's Hospital Review editorial team analyzed and reviewed research and data from sources including U.S. News & World Report, HealthGrades, Press Ganey, CareChex and Thomson Reuters to identify leading hospitals. The list was also vetted by industry experts. For inclusion on this list, hospitals needed to have at least partial ownership by a physician or physicians. Note: This list is not a ranking.

Recognized hospitals are free to note their inclusion through marketing materials, website promotion, press releases and other media materials without paying a fee.
